ITC Systems’ Multiplan is the core database engine for account based management in an institutional cost recovery solution. This powerful back end software integrates site-wide terminals using a variety of application specific modules and communication modules to centralize and report all transaction data.
Multiplan is available in two configurations: Multiplan Gold and Multiplan Lite. Multiplan Gold offers an extensive selection of add-on modules to further integrate aspects of the institution. Multiplan Lite offers many of the features found in Multiplan Gold, in a calorie-reduced version.
An efficient transaction resource, Multiplan offers seamless access to account based funds and facilitates purchases in cafeterias or other over-the-counter point of sale environments. Integrating via a LAN, Multiplan allows multiple account options for each individual profile including meal plans, bookstore accounts, vending, copy/print services, laundry services, parking, etc.
Multiplan software resides on a PC or Server and communicates in real time with POS terminals, cash registers and on-line debit terminals equipped with magnetic stripe readers. When the card is read, the POS terminal messages the PC to approve the transaction. The patron’s record is found and the transaction is registered against the account. Approval, including the current account balance, is returned to the terminal for display or printing on the POS receipt.
